Teecher Lady

I'm the teecher lady who just had a baby. In addition to being a full time milk cow, I'm the one who holds the hammer (yes, the bloggers above will earn get a grade). The rules are simple. Before 1/14/08 all students should post a little profile with a graphic... similar in lenght and format to what I'm doing here. Describe yourself in 150-200 words. Then, as the quarter progresses, we'll post our essays and respond. For full credit, students should post each of their four essays and, before the end of the quarter, reply to at least ten student posts with a few sentences of thoughtful response.

More about me: I love teaching argumentation because I beleive all good citizens need to understand the basics of rhetoric in order to participate effectively in public (and sometimes private) life. I also believe in writing as a means of having a voice in our worlds. By finding our voice, we find our values. By finding our voices, we each become agents for change in our worlds. In the beginning there was the word, and resurrecting the word, retaining the power of the word is an important human endeavor.
