Hi,
My name is Mary. You know me, the oldest person in the class. It's kind of awkward, returning to school after a 15-year hiatus. I'm a mom. My daughter, Lillian, is finishing her degree at OSU. She will be an elementary school teacher. She is married to Nate. He plays bass in a band called Action Panther. I've been married for 25 years, which is quite an achievement in this day and age. I feel sorry for my husband, Surgay. He is left alone all day while I am at work at CRV or taking classes at CCC. Anyway, I'm hoping to finish up my BSN. It will open new doors. I've been in geriatric nursing for 15 years and would like to try hospital nursing for a change.
My husband and I grow beautiful hanging baskets, which we market in the spring. This is our hobby job. I love designing beautiful palettes of flowers that people can enjoy. It is nice when customers come into the greenhouse and spend close to an hour trying to pick out a basket. It makes it worthwhile to realize that the amount of time you put into something is really appreciated. Hopefully, putting time into an education will reap the same kinds of benefits.

Mary, you are an inspiration and great to work with in class. Keep up the good work and great writing. Remind me in class Monday night to inquire about you and your husbands hanging baskets, as my girlfriend Karen, would love one.
