Martin Luther King Response

Martin Luther King, Jr. has a very persuasive writing style. His writing is very explicit, but it is still easy to visualize (implicit style) what he is writing about. When he describes small children who don’t understand why they can’t use the same restroom or eat in the same diner as white people, the reader can visualize the bewilderment and low self esteem that the child is feeling.
The sadness that Martin Luther King, Jr. feels is tangible in his writing. He doesn’t understand how people can be so blind and unwilling to take a stand on issues that they know are important. Segregation is unjust, and it needs to be abolished.
America is very lucky that Martin Luther King’s dream has lived on even after he was murdered. The civil rights movement has come a long way, largely in part due to his bravery and willingness to take a stand against unjust laws.
